The Passion According to G.H. is widely considered Clarice Lispector’s magnum opus. Apparently, a woman walks into her maid’s empty room, sees a cockroach, and the rest of the book happens inside her head.
It is one of several Lispector books on my list, along with Near to the Wild Heart, Água Viva, and A Breath of Life.
