Septology is an intriguing book that I found in the r/bookshelfdetective subreddit (I know, what a time to be alive!). Septology is considered to be Jon Fosse’s magnum opus.
In the past, I’ve always asked for recommendations from all my reader friends and coworkers from around the world, and I’ve always found that to be a really good way to see the world from very different perspectives. More recently, I’ve tried to broaden my reading horizons through a painfully curated recommendation pipeline (and impulsive purchases, much to my wife’s dismay).
I’m documenting exactly why I got the book because I might not read it for months or years and would forget what made me get it in the first place. With this, I won’t, unlike last time.
