Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals is my attempt at reading Immanuel Kant. Kant came up in episode 10 of Watching the Wheels, an episode on Gandhi, while discussing his insistence that the means matter, not just the ends. One of the hosts keeps coming back to Kant’s categorical imperative: never treat people merely as a means to an end, but always as ends in themselves.
This is the short book where Kant lays out that idea.
